The Journey

Saturday, 25th December, 1847

Christmas day. Quite warm - the wind fair, the sea smooth, the air delightful. Had service on board. A merry dinner & a merry evening. There was much making of egg nog - & a large dish of snapdragon concluded the evening's entertainment.
